My Husband and I can't wait to experience their savory dishes. We met Stacie today and she's absolutely gorgeous and a delightfully warm and a personable LADY. I viewed Chef Bradley in his kitchen on video and without a doubt I know he's fabulous chef. We're looking forward to enjoying the entire atmosphere at Oliv'as.

  2. I researched a place to take a group of friends (8) for a special birthday dinner. We drove 35 minutes to get to this place and spent A LOT of money and unfortunately I am VERY REGRETFUL to have brought everyone there.
They sat us right in front of the bathrooms which was not very pleasant (the place is very small so they are not good for parties over 4), and the server was very inattentive and not accommodating. The birthday girl ordered a dish that she thought was something different, and the waitress had an attitude and refused to offer her something different.
My pasta (the pumpkin ravioli) had absolutely NO TASTE!! "homemade pasta" did not live up to its reputation. My husband even refused to eat the rest of it (which says a lot trust me ).
And my dish came COLD! When I asked the waitress to warm it up she never apologized and simply took the dish from me abruptly and gave me a rude look and said "well it's going to take a while" with an attitude. Even the cheapest bottle of wine (25$) tasted like sutter home!! It was honestly not good, and the cork was beginning to saturate (meaning it was past its good shelf life).
Due to our VERY POOR service we noticed on our bill there was an automatic 20% tip included (which is standard for most places with large parties) However, when my husband spoke to the manager about wanting to reduce the amount (since the service was horrible) she became inappropriately angry and began raising her voice and refusing to change it. I have NEVER experienced a manager with such poor customer service. McDonald's has better customer service!!!
And I wish I could say it stops there... but it gets worse.
Once my husband walked away from the irate unprofessional manager he asked to speak to the owner (who was cooking). The owner was also completely rude and refused to make any changes, even refused to offer any apologizes for our horrible experience! Instead he aggressively stood in front of my husband in a challenging manner and ran his mouth.
This experience makes me wonder how they are in business! And why are there so many good reviews? Its ILLEGAL for them to FORCE US to pay a 20% tip when we refuse, but apparently they have a false delusion of being so great they treat their customers like crap.
You want good Italian in AIiken? Go to Casa Bella... the atmosphere is better, the service, and the food. I only wish I could take back that night and go there instead.
